link party ♢ weekly wishes #2

{{source}}

Time for round 2 of Melyssa's weekly link party!

I'm pleased to say I did really well with last weeks promise to keep up with the daily yoga challenge I signed up for.
There's a quote I love from Joseph Pilates: "You are only as young as your spine is flexible".
  I love to see those pictures floating the internet of 80 year old women who are in wonderful shape and can still contort into the most impossible asanas~ proof of the truth behind this statement. I like to keep this quote and those images in my mind's eye whenever I feel like shirking my daily practise.

Today my weekly wish is based around a big brown envelope I dropped off at the post office today.
5 years ago I developed a keen interest in Nutrition which  has ballooned  into a desire to pursue it as a career choice. After 5 years of procrastination and talking about it I have finally bitten the bullet and filled out an application for an online degree course in Nutritional Therapy.
After much mulling over with my Mom about how this will eat up the next 4 years of my life and income I have decided the end goal is so worth it. I will be able to begin a career in something I am truly passionate about.

My wish this week is that the universe will send back a positive response to my brown envelope and send me down a new and exciting path in my life.

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed >.<

  5. Ahhhh, CONGRATS LOVELY!!! I hope everything goes extremely well for you. I was talking with a friend this evening about how I want to practice yoga and for some reason, OCD or bipolar or laziness, I can't. I have had practice cooking, practice yoga and balance my chakras/learn more about them on my to-do list, my goal list, for literally years. I accomplish so little of what I wish to accomplish and I don't know how to fix that. I have the most amazing support from Jen and my friends, I have the availability. I also have a mental block and that is something I am not grateful for.

    1. I know exactly what that feels like Angie, I was in a complete fug, mentally and physically, for about three years which I am only now starting to pull myself up out of. Don't beat yourself up, everything you want to achieve will happen for you xxx

  7. I love that quote from Joseph Pilates! Inspiring! also regarding time & love - when I first realized I wanted to be a musician, and change from a former path - I realized that time would pass anyway - maybe I would be really bad for a few years, but if I just kept at it eventually something would shift. Time passes anyway - you just have to do what you love and enjoy the journey!

  9. I just stumbled across your blog and already I can tell yours is going to be an addictive read. You write beautifully and from the heart.

    My friend and I recently started yoga too, it's been interesting to see how unfit I am (she excels at it as she's a gymnast (CHEAT)) so it's great you've been doing it too! I heartily wish you all the very best with your future goals and aspirations; it's fantastic to be driven and passionate about what you want to do! Keep us updated!
